HAPPY NEW YEAR! 2020 is over! Today marks the first day of the new year and at the start of every year I like to reflect on the year which has passed and remind myself of everything that happened and how I handled it. 2020 was an odd year to say the least and is definitely a year which will go down in the history books.
It feels like the year has gone so fast but then I look back and remember a time when my days were filled watching Tiger King and every shopping trip required queuing around the block to get into the supermarket and then the start of the year feels so long ago.
I think that this year will have been one where we will all think we haven’t done or achieved very much due to lockdown/quarantine but when we actually break the year down and look into it, we will realise just how much has actually happened.
Most of the goals I set myself in January have not been achieved this year and I don’t feel guilty about it either. I have got through a pandemic, made my own website and achieved my main goal of getting myself out of the bad depression that I was going through at the start of the year, and that to me has been an achievement. I still want to achieve the goals that I set but I am giving myself time to get them completed as a lot of them have had to be put backwards due to restrictions to do with the virus.
Despite the fact I did not get to achieve all of my goals I still find it really helpful to journal about the past year and to get all my thoughts written out in front of me and I am sure many of you will feel the same which is why I made a journal prompt which you could all use too.
I have come up with 20 questions to get you thinking about how you handled 2020 so that you can head into 2021 with a fresh mindset and a grateful attitude.
I hope that these journal prompts have been helpful to some of you and that it helped you to reflect on 2020 and set some new goals for your 2021.
I am really enjoying being back blogging and can’t wait to continue it in 2021.
